The main focus of your work as a Technical Writer is on the creation of technical documentation for our software products. You will describe the installation, operation and configuration of our software modules so that they are easy to understand for our users.
Working closely with our developers and specialists, you will help to ensure that our products meet the high demands of our customers.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Creating technical German manuals/help files for our software products - developing simple and understandable descriptions of installation, operation, and configuration of our software for customers, partners, and employees
- Getting acquainted with the produced products and communication with responsible product managers, familiarizing oneself with the terminology and gaining a high level of understanding of the products
- Performing and completing assigned tasks within the specifications and processes in terms of content and timing
- Communicating intermediate statuses and results within the core processes
What you will bring:
- At least one year of experience as a Technical Writer or comparable training and/or relevant work experience
- Very good formulation skills in German (B2/C1 level) and English (learned as a second language, good level of language in speaking and writing – B2 level)
- Experience in the operation and documentation of modern, interactive software systems under Microsoft Windows
- Knowledge of MS Office programs
- Ability to be self-reliant and independent in action
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
What will be an asset:
- Knowledge of CAD and ERP systems
- Experience in working with editorial systems, such as Author-it
