The brand new multi-purpose manufacturing and development site in Lengnau is designed for large scale biologics manufacturing and has high expansion potential. After completion of the construction phase, our Lengnau site will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from process development to large-scale production, including stainless steel equipment, in order to successfully meet the needs of our customers.
Senior Scientist/Specialist, DSP Manufacturing (m/f/d)
Location: Lengnau
In this position, you will support the daily work of the DSP manufacturing Team
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as a process owner in various cross-functional teams such as Engineering, MSAT, Process Validation and Quality
- Act as a lead in the assigned shift
- Identify design issues on manufacturing equipment, propose and drive the remediation aligned with Engineering and MSAT departments
- Set-up Change Requests and manage the entire Change life cycle.
- Design single-use components and confirm field usability
- Validate manufacturing recipes and identify improvement opportunities (Siemens PCS 7 & MES) and maintain regulatory compliance of the same.
- Execute Equipment commissioning and qualification task and define the testing strategy and scope in alignment with process requirements
- Execute Process validation tasks incl. process, cleaning and sterilization
- Manufacturing of Engineering and commercial batches
- Participate in technology transfers as a DSP representative
- Write work instructions and develop manufacturing concepts relative to manufacturing process and manufacturing suite cleaning
- Train new employees in your area of responsibility
- Support various improvements initiatives and working groups
Your profile:
- Bachelor/Master in Life Sciences (Uni, ETH or FH)
- Independent work in compliance with internal work regulations and accurate documentation.
- Customer centric thinking and team spirit.
- Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English is required.
- Strong desire to challenge existing processes and optimize in consultation with other partners. Formal training in Lean Six Sigma, experience with 5S or similar is an advantage.
- Very good IT skills (Microsoft Office products), experience with electronic management systems such as SAP or OneMaximo are a plus.
- Willingness to work sporadic weekends.
